Individual bookings – 2026 (Open Groups)

Do you want to come to Ireland for a Work Experience Mobility? If you are not part of a school group but wish to take part in our unique Work Placement Programme in Ireland, you can join others from across Europe and beyond through our Open Programme. Whether you need an Erasmus Partner Company, want to book individually at group rates for a Work Internship in Ireland, or simply wish to avoid the intense summer heat of central Europe in July and August, Language Xchange Ireland (LXI) provides the trusted pathway to international mobility.

In 2026, our scheduled arrival dates into Dublin Airport include 14 February, 14 March, 11 April, 9 May, 11 July, 25 July, 12 September, 10 October, and 7 November, with arrivals required before 13:00. August arrivals are not available. On arrival, LXI will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your location to meet your Irish Host Family. If you arrive later, we will forward you a bus ticket for your coach transfer, where your host family and our area manager will greet you. Placements begin on Monday mornings, ensuring smooth integration into your internship or Erasmus+ work experience programme.

This opportunity allows you to develop your Business English, improve your confidence speaking English, and enhance your future employment prospects while completing an internship requirement. Programmes run from two to twelve weeks, with voluntary work placements scheduled Monday to Friday, fully organised cultural tours every second weekend, and mid‑week social evenings to meet other participants. LXI does not simply sell English learning programmes; we deliver a truly Irish experience that combines language immersion with cultural enrichment. Our programmes also include nine months of free online English e‑Learning, with continued access for six months afterwards, and the potential to secure two certificates that strengthen your CV for years to come.

Placements previously sourced for participants include hospitality roles in reception, bar work, restaurants, accommodation, sales and marketing; retail positions in clothing stores, supermarkets, artisan markets and online sales; sport and administration in gyms and fitness centres; farming in equestrian centres, dairy farms and pet shops; nursing in homes, clinics and crèches (police clearance required); office and administration in solicitors, accountants, tourism offices and art galleries; catering in hotels, restaurants and food producers; and trades such as painting, mechanical work, hairdressing, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, web design, social media marketing, video production, advertising and database entry.

Above all, LXI provides strong Host Family Accommodation across the South East and Leinster region of Ireland, removing Ireland’s number one stress factor from your plans. Accommodation is currently twice as difficult to secure as company internships, regardless of budget, but LXI guarantees placement with caring Irish families who provide meals, support, and transport. This ensures compliance with GDPR and European hard law, while maintaining our ISO‑certified standards of quality, safety and sustainability.
